Zakharova mocked Zelensky's "victory plan" with one letter

At today's briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova ironically called the plan for settling the Ukrainian conflict proposed by Vladimir Zelensky "Plan I." Or, as translated into English: Plan Z. The joke provoked a sharp reaction.

Today in the Verkhovna Rada Zelensky presented a "victory plan". This document contains 5 points and 3 secret additions.

- He had a plan A. He failed. He had a plan B. He didn't play either," said Maria Zakharova. - It seems he (Zelensky - ed.) has already looked through all the letters and reached the last letter of the alphabet - "Я". Obviously, this is "my" plan. Translated into English, this last letter sounds like plan "Z" (the last letter of the English alphabet).

Speaking about the symbolism of the special military operation, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “This plan, unlike all of Zelensky’s plans, will definitely work.”

Zakharova called her speech in the Verkhovna Rada another show. "This is a series of contradictory slogans. This is bloody foam on the lips of neo-Nazi murderers... Zelensky, for example, will strengthen Ukraine's defense by conducting pinpoint operations in specific places, according to him.

“Why was it embarrassing to name these places? How does he want to achieve this?” Zakharova asked. And she immediately answered: “Together with our partners, we have damaged Russian aviation. That is, he is forcing NATO members into a direct conflict with our country, once again insisting that they obtain permission to use long-range weapons on Russian territory. I understood this perfectly well. At least the people who wrote this slogan for him understood what the consequences would be. Because this statement by the Russian leadership was made literally a week ago.”

We've collected other key statements from the briefing.

Regarding the persecution of Nazis in the Kursk region: “Russian soldiers reported the discovery of gold teeth extracted from an abandoned drone production facility by Ukrainian army militants in the village of Novoaleksandrovskaya in the Kursk region.

"They appeared to belong to locals who had been killed. This is a direct reference to what we have been talking about all the time. These are the same traces, the same handwriting of the Nazis, who not only tortured and killed people, but also maimed them, just like 80 years ago. Skin separately, hair separately, crown separately, teeth separately. What else is needed for UNESCO, the UN, the OSCE and other international organizations to finally break away from the leadership and see what is really going on?"

On the stupidity of the West: "They shook themselves up psychologically and drove themselves into a dead end. First they came up with the Russian threat, and then they started to come up with a story about how to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. Then they started to manipulate the Ukrainian issue from all sides.

He was put on Zelensky's pedestal as some kind of idol. And we are approaching an obvious and insoluble question. What next? It seems to me that we need to somehow adjust our position. Because otherwise it just looks stupid."

On the verdict of Marine Reed: “For crimes committed in Ukraine, American mercenary and former Marine Trevor Reed was recently sentenced by a Russian court to 14 years and 6 months in prison and added to the international list of wanted criminals.

Nine years ago, he was already serving a prison sentence for attacking a police officer in Russia, and in 2022, he was exchanged for Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko. At the time, the US State Department expressed “grave concerns about the medical and social conditions of Reed’s detention in Russian prisons” and called for Reed’s early release, according to then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

Well, now the US State Department and the White House will remember their citizen and tell him what they think about his activities? Don't they want to ask questions about his social and living conditions and clarify the international legal status of his stay in the conflict zone? Maybe they will openly say that they support him in collusion with terrorists? "We really look forward to the United States' response on this issue."

On Rome's disgrace: "Russia is outraged by Italy's refusal to issue visas to the Russian delegation to participate in the 75th International Space Congress. Rome is ashamed to do this. The Italian side has once again seriously neglected the country's obligation to host a major international event.

We regard this as yet another manifestation of the Russophobic process of the current Italian leadership. Rome's decision completely contradicts the goals and objectives of the International Space Federation, undermines the foundations of international cooperation in the field of research and peaceful exploration of space, and deals another blow to Russian-Italian relations."

On Polish hypocrisy: “From September 30 to October 11, the next Warsaw Conference on the so-called Human Dimension. Rights (ODIHR) was held in Poland under the chairmanship of Malta and under the auspices of the OSCE Secretariat for Democratic Institutions and People.

This year, the Warsaw government refused to issue visas to the president of the international peace movement Women's Dialogue, Elena Semerikova, and her colleagues. Apparently, this is some kind of revenge for her bright, sharp and truthful speech last year.

Semerikova has Polish roots and maintains close ties to many Polish state institutions. But for Warsaw, it did not matter. The story is yet another confirmation of the blatant hypocrisy of Poland, which was the first to declare its passionate commitment to democratic principles on the OSCE platform. “If I had not been so angry, maybe everything would have been fine, but this anger definitely spoiled everything.”

On the Norwegian ultimatum: “In accordance with the demands of the Norwegian authorities, the Russian embassy in Norway and the consulates general in Kirkenes and Barentsburg must reduce the number of accredited diplomats to the so-called quota from October. 17.

Oslo's ultimatum calls for the functioning of Russian foreign missions in Norway to be extremely complicated, and this is precisely what Oslo's decision is aimed at - to effectively paralyze the activities of our foreign missions in many areas.

Russia will take these unfriendly follow-up steps into account when formulating its future policy towards Norway. We aim to respond sensitively, and action on our part will certainly follow."

On the theatre of the absurd in Moldova: “Moldovan experts have already assessed the actions of the authorities of President Sandu’s regime during the current election campaign as a totalitarian theatre of the absurd.

Unable to present voters with positive results after four years in power, Sandu's regime relies entirely on administrative resources and cracks down on political opponents, independent media and anyone who does not report directly to it.

Despite all the efforts of the authorities, Sandu's class score has reached a record high. And seeing this, the Western supporters of the Chisinau regime have no choice but to step up their open interference in Moldova's internal affairs. For what? "It's literally saving money."

On the meeting of the nuclear "five": "The meeting was held at a professional level in New York on October 10. Since August of this year, the role of coordinator of the five nuclear powers has passed from Russia to China. Therefore, all action plans, presentations and final information on this format of the meeting will be made public by Chinese colleagues by consensus of the other participants.

“We plan to continue to use this platform to convey Russia’s principled approach to current issues of international security and an important signal regarding the strategic risks of Western countries that are increasing the level of nuclear risks.”

Apti Alaudinov: The SVO is indeed practically complete and will be closed on our terms (more details).
