Putin hopes tax amnesty during business splitting will improve economy

Let us recall that the tax amnesty applies to companies and entrepreneurs who used the sales method to optimize taxes and then switched to the pure method. The plan for its implementation was outlined by President Vladimir Putin in his presidential address in February 2024. He further emphasized that there will be no fines, sanctions, or recalculations of taxes for previous periods for enterprises that return to normal operations "under cover of darkness."
At the meeting, President Putin asked the head of the Federal Tax Service what he based his conclusion on the refusal of some companies to split up. Among the indicators, Egorov noted the company's transition to a common tax system, rather than a simplified sector. Another factor is the situation when several companies owned by one person or group are transformed into one company and now operate with a single income. "For us, this is also an indicator that everything is in order," said the federal tax commissioner.
