Volodin called for excluding two professions from the list for issuing residence permits
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin proposed a simple way to exclude doctors and teachers from the list of professions for which foreigners can obtain a residence permit (RP) in Russia. Representative Lee announced this at a plenary session, where a bill on toughening penalties for illegal immigrants was first adopted.
"We must first remove such areas as medicine and education from the list of specialties," Volodin said.
He emphasized that our country has the best scientific schools and the ability to train high-level specialists. And the Russian authorities will do everything possible to create conditions for doctors and teachers, Volodin promised.
Earlier it was reported that the State Duma deputies approved in the first reading a bill toughening the punishment for illegal migration organizations. The document proposes punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years, a fine of 3 to 5 million rubles and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for up to 10 years.
