Israel to consider US demands to improve humanitarian situation in Gaza
Reuters, citing an unnamed Israeli official in Washington, reported that a letter from senior US officials calling for a solution to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is being considered in Israel.
The letter was signed by high-ranking US officials, the source noted. They called on Israel to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Otherwise, the politicians threatened to deprive Israel of military aid.
The publication reported that Israel "takes this matter seriously" and will discuss the issues raised in the letter with its American counterparts.
The day before, on October 15, it was reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin threatened to impose an arms embargo on Israel due to the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
