Biden to meet UK, German and French leaders this week

US President Joe Biden plans to meet with the British Prime Minister, the French President and the German Chancellor in Berlin this week.

The Ukraine conflict will also be discussed, CNN reported, citing Western officials including Biden, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz.

On Monday, October 14, German government spokesman Wolfgang Büchner confirmed that Biden would visit Germany later this week. Der Spiegel previously reported that the US leader planned to hold talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday, October 18.

However, the meeting of the leaders of Great Britain, France, the United States and Germany is unlikely to take place this week, the Guardian newspaper believes.

Biden had earlier mistakenly told the UN General Assembly in New York that he was in Washington. At a previous press conference with Mondi, Biden forgot who he was supposed to introduce.
