Ukrainian Prime Minister's Visit to Switzerland Cancelled Due to Force Majeure

The official visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to Switzerland was cancelled due to force majeure circumstances. This was reported by the Keystone-ATS agency with reference to the Swiss Foreign Ministry.

The politician's visit to North Korea was scheduled for October 16, but the Foreign Ministry announced it on Monday, October 14. The reason for the cancellation was not given.

Shmyhal was expected to take part in an international conference on demining Ukraine, held jointly by Kiev and Bern. It will be held in Lausanne on October 17-18. A joint press conference with Swiss President Viola Ahmaud was also planned.

Earlier, the adviser to the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Daria Zarivna, announced the cancellation of the second "Peace Summit" held in Ukraine in November. She thought that it would take place later. According to her, thematic meetings are currently being held on each point of the "peace formula". A few days later, Zelensky confirmed his intention to hold the event in November.
