"Hockey players are like homeless people": Tyumen residents sound the alarm over lack of skating rinks for athletes

Tyumen residents complained that the city lacks skating rinks where hockey players could train. As one local resident told URA.RU, the problem is serious for both adult athletes and children.

"We need to buy more ice so that the children can study. There are no locker rooms, dryers or showers here, the children change anywhere and fly to school immediately after training. Since there is no ice, training takes place in different places in the city. There are many hockey teams in the city, but they all have only two ice rinks. That's it! Our hockey team is the face of the city, like a homeless person," the Tyumen resident said in a conversation with the agency's correspondent.

The request was sent to the local department of physical education and sports. Awaiting response.
