Nikita Panfilov returns to the role of obstetrician in NTV medical detective
The series centers on Gleb Kaverin, a military doctor who accidentally changes his specialty and becomes an obstetrician-gynecologist.
A few months after the end of the first season, Gleb Kaverin's (Nikita Panfilov) beloved Elena Elagina (Elena Lotova) is expecting his child. In the first episode of the film, the main character's ex-wife Marina (Victoria Romanenko), who cheated on him, gives birth, but who the father of the child is is unknown. Gleb Kaverin continues to work at the hospital and care for patients. However, he was not promoted to the position of head of department. The management considers Kaverin too inconvenient.
Nikita Panfilov, who plays Gleb Kaverin: “Before filming the second season, I completely rewatched the first season to better remember my character Gleb Kaverin. He changes throughout the series with every ups and downs that happen to him. I hope viewers will pay attention to the characters they already love and the new events that happen in their lives. The scriptwriters brought a variety of stories based on real events to the new season, which is always interesting. I began to respect my gynecologist even more, but not after I started Kaverin, but after the birth of two children! Participating in childbirth really helped me understand this. This is a really difficult job, absolute professionals should work there, the lives of little angels depend on them!”
Elena Lotova, who plays Elena Elagina: "We were all very happy to see each other again on the set and continue this story! I can't reveal any details about the plot of the second season. I would like to say that all the characters will experience an abundance of different events, because it will never be boring or calm with Gleb Kaverin! Perhaps that is why the character was loved by the audience! My heroine, Elena Elagina, is the head of the Department of Reproductive Sciences, a young, ambitious woman with a great sense of humor. "Her work is difficult, responsible and exciting at the same time."
In the new season of "Obstetrician-Gynecologist", Kaverin's former lover, the confident and strong Zharova (Irina Tarannik), will stand in his way. She decides to remind Gleb of herself and is ready to do anything to get him back. When revenge and jealousy fail, she decides to team up with Kaverin along with the prestigious businessman Bragin (Vladimir Butenko). In addition, Gleb's sworn enemy Sorokin (Artem Osipov) has found a sponsor and is ready to take revenge on him.
