In Russia, the authorities will spend billions on mobilization preparations
The draft state budget provides more than 50 billion rubles for mobilization preparation.
The federal budget project envisaged funding for mobilization preparation. This is necessary in the event of a "serious threat or war with a strong enemy."
At the same time, it cannot be said that a second wave of mobilization will occur in Russia. There are no plans to resume mobilization activities. This was reported by the Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov in an interview with RTVI.
He explained that funds are usually allocated for such planned events. The deputy minister stated that the mobilization itself was not planned.
Kartapolov noted that mobilization training covers not only personnel, but also the entire administrative system and the Russian economy. The draft budget for the next three years allocates more than 50 billion rubles for these purposes.
This is in line with the provisions of the Russian law “On preparation and mobilization”, which requires a set of measures to be carried out in peacetime to protect the country in the event of war and to meet the needs of the people.
Kartapolov emphasized that this concerns planned measures to improve the country’s entire system of mobilization and deployment in the event of a “serious threat or war with a strong enemy.”
