Woman spent 11 minutes in the afterlife and told about what she saw
A US pensioner who claimed to have spent 11 minutes in heaven after a near-death experience has spoken of the strange things he saw in the afterlife, LADbible reports.
In 2019, 68-year-old Charlotte Holmes was having a routine check-up with a cardiologist when her blood pressure suddenly spiked and doctors told her she was having another stroke or heart attack.
Doctors tried to stabilize her condition while her husband watched helplessly.
As her condition continued to worsen, Charlotte began to describe the things she saw, including the flowers, but when her husband looked around the room and realized they were not there, a startling realization came to him.
"Then I realized she was no longer in this world," he said.
His wife's heart stopped and she died clinically 11 minutes later.
But the American woman said she looked at her lifeless body as doctors and nurses tried to revive her.
“I smelled the most beautiful flowers I had ever smelled and heard music,” the woman recalled.
The American woman described how she was greeted everywhere with pure "beauty" and was watched in admiration as "everything swayed" to the music she was listening to.
After this, a group of angels led her deep into another world where there was no fear. She saw her mother, father, sisters and family members standing behind her, as well as senior saints who looked to be around 30 years old.
Then Charlotte said she saw the baby and was very confused. The voice from above said it was her baby, which she lost in the fifth month of pregnancy.
Charlotte claimed that she had been taken to a place completely opposite to the paradise she had just enjoyed.
In Hell, she smelled the odor of rotten flesh. The voice explained that he showed her this to tell her that some people would be here if they did not change their ways.
She described feeling like her body was being "pulled backwards" and her husband noticed her eyes twitching.
Charlotte made a full recovery and was discharged from hospital two weeks later.
She died of a heart attack in November 2023 at the age of 72.
