Ukrainian Embassy in The Hague Increases Security Measures Following Threatening Letter

The Ukrainian Embassy in The Hague has decided to tighten security measures after receiving a threatening letter, the Dutch TV channel RTL reported, RIA Novosti reports.

The Foreign Ministry received a letter with a bomb threat. Accordingly, the embassy decided to strengthen security measures.

In the evening, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that on October 14, more than 60 foreign diplomatic organizations in Ukraine received anonymous messages about mined buildings.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport stated that this number continues to grow. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha ordered to strengthen security measures in diplomatic institutions. Against this background, some diplomatic departments temporarily suspended consular services to citizens and resumed them immediately after the inspection was completed.

Last September, Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino promised to open a Ukrainian embassy in Panama after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
