Yaroslavna with diabetes obtained help through the court
A resident of Zavolzhsky District with type 1 diabetes was unable to purchase supplies for her insulin pump. She was told that she could not maintain it because she was not disabled. Yaroslavna contacted the prosecutor's office.
The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare stated: “In accordance with the law on public health protection, diabetes is classified as a socially significant disease, and medications for those suffering from it are provided free of charge at the expense of the budget.”
