The case of the FSB officer who was tried for bribery returned to the Perm court
The case of the former head of the regional FSB department Grigory Tsaregorodtsev, who was tried on charges of bribery, was returned to the Perm Garrison Military Court. The date of the first hearing has not yet been set.
"The Perm Garrison Military Court has accepted for a new trial a criminal case of bribery from former counterintelligence officer Grigory Tsaregorodtsev. The case will be heard by Deputy Chairman of the Garrison Court Nikita Trifonov," Properm wrote in a statement from the court's press service.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that the Central District Military Court overturned Tsaregorodtsev's sentence and sent it for a new trial. According to investigators, the former major received bribes worth millions of dollars from a group of hackers who committed the crime. In exchange, Tsaregorodtsev promised not to initiate a criminal case against them. But in court, he said that he did not intend to help the hackers.
