Novosibirsk Metro Orders New Cars from Moscow
The information is posted on the government procurement website. The contract worth 863.681 million rubles is currently being implemented; the new vehicles should appear in Novosibirsk by December 25, 2025. The order includes two lead vehicles, two mid-size vehicles, and one non-motorized trailer vehicle.
In the next two years, the municipality plans to purchase an additional 20 metro cars, 15 of which will be purchased under the Sberbank Leasing leasing scheme. 2.2 billion rubles have been allocated from the regional budget for these purposes. The delivery includes 6 lead motor cars, 6 middle motor cars and 3 middle non-motor cars to form three five-car trains.
The contract is valid until June 1, 2031, and the vehicle is scheduled to be delivered between October 2025 and March 2026.
