110 carriages of the Ivolga 4.0 train will enter service on the MCD by the end of the year
Deputy Mayor of the capital Maxim Liksutov reported that by the end of 2024, 110 carriages of the Ivolga 4.0 train will reach the MCD.
This is happening as part of the rolling stock renewal. Earlier, another 110 such vehicles had already reached MCD-3 and MCD-4.
"The MCD-1 and MCD-2 trains were updated in the first year of operation. Now, together with specialists from the Central Suburban Passenger Company, we are focusing on the MCD-3 and MCD-4 portals." The Moscow Mayor and the government comment on Liksutov's words.
Currently, there are more than 800 Ivolga cars of different generations in operation in all four diameters. The deputy mayor emphasized that the list will continue to be updated in 2025.
Over the summer, passengers made more than 103 million trips in the agglomeration, almost 20% more than in the summer of 2023. Over the summer, more than 33 million trips were made on MCD-3 alone.
