FAS ordered MTS to transfer illegally obtained 3 billion rubles to the budget
The FAS ordered MTS to transfer 3 billion rubles of illegally obtained income to the budget. The Antimonopoly Service reported that in the period from April to May, operators increased the cost of services for 30 million subscribers by an average of 8%, the agency's press service told TASS. The FAS recognized the price increase as economically unjustified and infringing on the interests of consumers. MTS is also obliged to reduce tariffs for subscribers affected by the increase in the cost of services.
"Measures to seize illegal income by increasing tariffs and transferring funds to the budget were applied by the agency for the first time when an offense was established," the antimonopoly agency reported.
