National Guard deployed in Kazakhstan's Talgar after teenager's murder

After the murder of the teenager, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of Kazakhstan were brought to the city of Talgar. This was reported by the Tengrinews portal with reference to the press service of the department.

"Currently, in the city of Talgar in the Almaty region, troops of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been mobilized to carry out patrol service," the Ministry of Defense reported.

On October 4, a 16-year-old teenager was killed in a store. Afterwards, unknown persons burned down the house where the victim's family lived. The incident caused a wide public outcry. Local media called the incident a challenge to the country's law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, the jury sentenced former Minister of State Economy of Kazakhstan Kvandyk Visimbayev to 24 years in prison for the murder of his common-law wife. One of the key pieces of evidence in the trial was a video recording of the abuse of Saltanat on a cell phone, which the former official filmed but forgot.
