"Alexey Dulkevich has passed away... a legendary musician and a true artist. He worked for many years at the "Night Taxi" studio as part of the "Pearl Brothers" group, and his violin can be heard on many albums recorded there. This musician's performance became the basis of modern chanson. He recently released a rare album that will immediately appeal to collectors and connoisseurs of gypsy romance and genre music," the production center reported.

In his obituary, the musician's colleagues noted that he was an intelligent and cheerful person whose talent made him a legend even during his lifetime. "Heavens... We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends..." - this is how the representatives of "Night Taxi" summed it up.

Alexey Dulkevich was born on March 26, 1953 in Leningrad. The son of a gypsy artist, he worked as a dancer and violinist in the State Gypsy Ensemble of Lenconcert from 1972, and in 1983 he became the director of the Krupskaya Institute of Culture (now the conductor-choirmaster of St. Petersburg).

It is known that during his work at the Night Taxi studio, Aleksey Dulkevich collaborated with the Artel group, Mikhail Krug and other popular performers. In particular, the virtuoso violinist worked with musician and composer Aleksandr Rozenbaum for over 20 years, participating in tours, concert performances and recording albums. Thus, the sound of his violin can be heard in songs from the collections In Memory of Arkady Severny and New Songs, recorded in the early 1980s.

Last spring, Alexander Rosenbaum congratulated Alexey Dulkevich on his anniversary and recalled what he was like on the day they met.

"I remember that day in April 1982 as if it were yesterday, which forever connected us. A young, handsome man with eyes shining with passion... More than 40 years have passed since then, and now... you are already 70 years old. And you still haven't changed at all. The sound of the violin still breaks the soul, and the fiery gypsy dance makes the audience explode with applause," Rosenbaum emotionally told his colleague.

Alexey Dulkevich also has experience as an actor. In 1986, he starred in the film "Living Corpse" and then took part in the filming of the series "Streets of Broken Lights".
