The Russian Armed Forces have revealed details of the assault on Ugledar
Moscow, October 13, FederalPress. Before the attack on Ugledar, Russian artillery attacked the command post of the Ukrainian army, depriving the enemy garrison of the possibility of organized resistance. This was stated by the DPR security forces.
Simultaneously with the attack on the command post of the Ukrainian army, Russian troops took control of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya mine, a key area of the city’s defense.
The remnants of the 72nd motorized rifle brigade of the Ukrainian army, stationed in Bugledar, suffered heavy losses during their retreat from the city.
On October 3, 2024, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the launch of Ugledar. The battle for the city lasted more than two years.
