The State Traffic Inspectorate recommends that drivers urgently change their tires
Drivers are advised to be prepared to replace summer tires with winter ones. This was reported on October 13 by the Samara Regional Traffic Police Department.
"State traffic police officers warn of possible frosts in the morning and urge people to be prepared to change their car tires," the statement said.
Law enforcement officials reminded that when the temperature drops, the asphalt may become covered with a thin layer of ice, which can significantly increase the braking distance and cause skidding. In such conditions, summer tires may not provide adequate traction, which can lead to an accident.
