A faulty escalator closed the metro at Vosstaniya Square for the second time this weekend

At the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station in St. Petersburg, vestibule No. 1 is closed again. This is the second time this has happened over the weekend, and the fourth since the beginning of October.

The official specialized channel of the northern capital's metro warned of restrictions on entry. They explained that due to an unscheduled stop of the escalator, passengers can no longer enter the vestibule.

Fifteen minutes later, at 11:12, the metro announced the resumption of normal operations.

As Delovoy Peterburg writes, a similar situation occurred the day before, on October 12, at the same station. Residents were warned about the restrictions at 19:43. Nine minutes later, the company reported that the vestibule was operating normally.

Last September, while work was underway to check the escalators, access to the station was restricted.
