The Science 0+ Festival has started in Russia

Localized lightning or electrical discharge is the Tesla coil, the basis of everything that is now called wireless. But today, technology has advanced far beyond that. The energy is literally taken from the glass.

Fun Physics is part of a larger festival called Science 0+. Here, complex laboratory research is discussed for everyone.

From primitive microbes to modern neural networks, from architecture to genetics, science has something for everyone. For example, there are flight simulators used to train professional pilots. Its equipment is exactly the same as that of a real light fighter MiG-35, except that it cannot feel the speed of 2500 kilometers per hour.

"Science 0+" has been an international event for several years. The participants also emphasize the status of the festival. Among them is the Nobel Peace Prize laureate from Korea, Chung Rae Kwon. He noted that Russian science is an example for the whole world.

Nobel laureate Chung Rae Kwon said: "Russian universities have always been at the top of the world. The level of science here is high," he said.

There are dozens of stands (and there are many) at each festival site. This is a real temple of science and, as expected, hundreds of pilgrims come here. And Russian scientists have something to show. Video communication with the ISS was organized for the festival guests. By the way, they also study everything: from climate change to medicine.

Few people know that American astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the Moon, kissed the ground near the home of Russian scientist Yuri Kondratyuk. He was the first to calculate the trajectory of the flight to the Earth's satellite. This is just one fact. Guests learned dozens of other facts about the festival. From people who had once been in space.

Cosmonaut Andrei Borisenko, Hero of the Russian Federation, noted: "It is at such meetings that people understand what they want to do in life. Perhaps someone will be interested in a profession related to rocket and space technology," he said.

But career guidance really works. As the organizers noted, during the festival, demand for technical and engineering specialties increased significantly.

"The festival is already celebrating its 20th anniversary. Two generations of people who came to the festival 20 years ago have passed away. Now these are people who are doing cool science in the laboratory," said Leonid Gusev, director of All. -Russian festival "Science 0+".

Last year, the festival was visited by 18 million people from four countries. The organisers are confident that with the increased number of venues and stands, they have every chance of setting a new record.
