Immunity 'goes blind': Nutritionist reveals how popular breakfast food causes cancer

The risk of developing cancer increases most when using ultra-processed products, nutritionist and doctor Mariyat Mukhina told Life.ru. She emphasized that most of these ingredients are not harmless and are absorbed into the blood very quickly.

"These products often contain large amounts of added sugar, fat and salt, which are quickly absorbed and have a negative impact on metabolism and overall health. These products cause hidden swelling, reduce immunity and make immune cells literally "blind". You do not see the cells that have changed," the doctor explains.

Previously, researchers from the University of Bristol and the International Agency for Research on Cancer found that regular consumption of very popular breakfast foods such as sausages, white bread, sugary cereals and sugary yoghurts could trigger the development of malignant tumours.

As Mariyat Mukhina notes, aspartame is often added to yogurt, a sweetener known for its carcinogenic effect. Many preservatives, dyes, and flavor enhancers can have similarly dangerous properties. According to doctors, this substance increases the risk of mutations in the body's cells and can interfere with normal growth.

During processing, many useful substances are destroyed, as a result of which the intestinal microflora, on which human immunity largely depends, suffers.

The nutritionist added: "Some ultra-processed foods are subjected to cooking methods that can lead to the formation of carcinogens, such as frying or smoking, and can also produce acrylamide, a carcinogen that causes stomach and bowel cancer."

The medical doctor recommends forgetting about such products and instead cooking scrambled eggs with vegetables, porridge with nuts and dried fruits or cottage cheese with nuts for breakfast. She also reminded that other risk factors for cancer development are a sedentary lifestyle, smoking and drinking alcohol.
