The head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center told what the weather will be like in Novosibirsk this winter. According to Roman Vilfand, the temperature will be within the norm, no deviations from the norm are expected. Heavy snowfalls and strong winds are expected.
"The temperature in Novosibirsk will be higher than usual. Frosts are expected only at the end of December - beginning of February, the temperature will also be within the norm - minus 35 degrees Celsius," the country's chief weather forecaster said.
In Novosibirsk, a hurricane felled trees and tore down power lines on October 12. The region has declared a high alert regime until October 14.
