Residents of Yaroslavl are allowed not to buy shoe covers for hospitals and clinics
In Yaroslavl, patients of the first polyclinic on Mayakovsky Street were outraged that they could not enter the treatment room without shoe covers. The hospital has a machine where you can buy shoe covers, but you cannot buy them with a card. All you need is a 10-ruble coin. Yaroslavl residents demanded that medical institutions issue shoe covers for free, since they need them.
"When performing medical and diagnostic procedures, including in outpatient settings, patients are provided with individual sets of linen (sheets, diapers, napkins, shoe covers), including disposable ones, depending on the details of the procedure." The Ministry of Health of the Yaroslavl Region requires that in all "strict regime rooms" (dental clinics, operating rooms, treatment rooms, vaccination rooms, etc.) shoe covers must be worn during procedures, and shoe covers are provided in the rooms. In other wards, shoe covers are not required, and if desired, patients can come to the doctor without shoe covers and change of shoes.
