An American psychotherapist has been accused of seducing his client, a 15-year-old boy. This is reported by Crime Online.
According to court documents, the teen was participating in group therapy sessions at EPIC Behavioral Healthcare in St. Augustine, Florida, but some problems arose during the sessions. He then began private counseling with Elizabeth Blanchard, 34.
The victim told investigators that after the first three sessions, Blanchard began flirting with him by texting and calling him. The teen said the therapist seduced him and had sex with him shortly after. The encounter took place at Blanchard’s office and hotel in St. John’s County. There, investigators found surveillance video of the woman and the victim entering the room together. Blanchard also sent the teen money, ranging from $5,000 to $9,000 (487,000 to 878,000 rubles).
Blanchard was investigated by law enforcement in August. She is currently being held without bail. She faces nine charges. The hospital where she worked issued a public statement apologizing.
Earlier in the US, the daughter of the mayor of Wellston, Oklahoma, was found guilty of molesting a 15-year-old schoolboy in the city. The woman worked there as a teacher.
