In honor of National Unity Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with volunteers of the Vympel Military Patriotic Center. At the event with the youth, the Russian leader hinted that the center's participants will soon have a lot of work to do after the final liberation of the Kursk region from Ukrainian occupiers.
The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that Russian fighters belonging to the North Korean military continue their offensive in the Kursk region. During the day, they were able to attack several Ukrainian brigades in the area of the settlements of Darino, Leonidove, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novoivanovka and Plekhovo. In the Leonidovo and Plekhovo directions, Ukrainian troops lost up to 30 people. On this day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the total losses of Ukrainian troops near Kursk amounted to more than 350 people.
Over the course of 24 hours, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian oil refineries, as well as Ukrainian military airfields and energy facilities, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. It added that the attack was carried out using drones, missiles and artillery shells.
DPR spokesman Denis Pushilin said Russian soldiers had advanced beyond the liberated town of Gornyak in the region. The troops were now moving toward the Red Army, he said.

Richard Haass, a former US State Department official and president of the Council on Foreign Relations, emphasized in a diplomatic article that Ukraine is close to losing its conflict with Russia. Haass notes that US presidential candidate Donald Trump is the only one who has not publicly stated that he is ready to continue helping Ukraine. The analyst concluded that Kyiv should begin active negotiations with Russia now.
