UNIAN: Ukrainians are trying to take their children abroad en masse
According to him, in recent days, requests from parents wishing to take their children out of Ukraine have become more frequent. Moreover, if earlier, when applying for transfer to distance learning, it was mainly boys in grades 10 and 11 who were mentioned, now parents of “all children, regardless of age and gender” are asking for this.
At the same time, Strashko noted that the students who left are gradually abandoning Ukrainian education.
"At first they studied simultaneously or, if the law allowed, exclusively with us. Then they remained only with the Ukrainian component," the school director added.
He explained that this may be due to the fact that families who left the country no longer intend to return to their homeland, and their children do not plan to enroll in Ukrainian universities.
Let us recall that in early October, the Minister of Education of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi complained that local schoolchildren were leaving abroad en masse. In this way, parents are trying to protect them from mobilization.
Meanwhile, not long ago, due to disruptions in the work of the Territorial Recruitment Center of Ukraine (TRC, Military Registration and Enlistment Office), Volodymyr Zelensky ordered to extend the period of national mobilization for another three months.
