The Federation Council called the organization of the presidential elections in Moldova shameful
Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev called the organization of the Moldovan presidential elections shameful. He expressed his opinion via Telegram.
"Shameful electoral organization of Moldova. The final result is determined from outside, not from within the country itself. It was determined by voting abroad, where the organizers deliberately provided exclusive opportunities to supporters of one candidate and deprived supporters of another candidate of the opportunity to vote," Kosachev wrote.
On November 3, Moldova held its second presidential election. With 99.7% of the votes counted, Maia Sandu, who ran for president for the second time, was in the lead. The Central Election Commission reported that she received 55.36% of the votes.
It was previously reported that in Moldova, the police and independent observers provided different data on violations recorded during the second presidential elections. Thus, the General Inspector of Police registered about 200 violations, and the state body Promo-LEX registered more than 1,000 violations.
