Cases of Coxsackie virus infection registered in Krasnodar region
In the Krasnodar region, isolated and scattered cases of Coxsackie virus infection have been recorded; there is no talk of outbreaks of viral infection.
RIA Novosti was informed of this through the press service of the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor.
"There are no outbreaks or flare-ups in the area. Isolated cases have been registered," the department reported.
The SHOT Telegram channel previously reported that Russians were complaining about the Coxsackie virus in kindergartens and schools, and parents were concerned that tourists from Turkey could bring in infections. The babies first developed mouth ulcers, and then a rash on their bodies. Rospotrebnadzor immediately responded that it would monitor the composition of morning filters in schools and kindergartens in the country's regions after cases of infection with this virus were recorded.
As previously reported, an outbreak of an unknown virus has already occurred in Belek, Turkey, infecting Russian tourists. Recently, dozens of children and adults have sought hospital treatment due to fever exceeding 39 degrees Celsius. This is the only common symptom observed in patients; other clinical symptoms vary, including rash on the extremities, nausea, and vomiting.
It is known from open sources that the Coxsackie virus can infect any country in the world (including Russia). This is the same common infection that causes colds or intestinal diseases. Sometimes doctors record outbreaks of the disease when it is diagnosed simultaneously in many people, but usually we are talking about isolated cases.
