Passenger trains delayed for several hours in Nizhny Novgorod region: investigation underway
Nizhny Novgorod Region, November 4, FederalPress. On the morning of November 4, long-distance train traffic was delayed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region due to problems with freight trains. This was reported by the press service of the Volga Road Prosecutor's Office.
Following the incident, the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office took control of the observance of passengers' rights. If the inspection reveals violations, this will be grounds for prosecution.
It turned out that the delay due to the schedule was about 2 hours, from 1:00 to 2:00. A total of 14 trains were delayed. Russian Railways has already apologized and stated that they are taking measures to correct the situation.
A similar situation occurred in Yekaterinburg at the end of August, when major delays of passenger trains were recorded at the station. Nine routes deviated from the schedule. Passengers reported that express trains deviated from the schedule and they had to wait for several hours.
