British Ambassador Keelin says London wants to isolate Russia

Britain wants to isolate Russia diplomatically, but the BRICS summit in Kazan has clearly demonstrated the futility of this attempt, Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin said in an interview with the BBC.

The diplomat said: "I was able to see representatives of 38 countries in Kazan, where the BRICS summit was held two weeks ago." According to him, no one wants to isolate Russia, "except, of course, England."

In early October, the British government announced sanctions against 18 tankers carrying oil and four tankers carrying liquefied natural gas from Russia, RT recalls. Later, the British authorities expanded the list of anti-Russian sanctions, adding six more points. In an article in the European newspaper Politico entitled “The End of the British Empire,” the BRICS summit in Kazan is cited as evidence of Britain’s declining influence on the international stage.
