Российские военные уничтожают противника в курском приграничье
On the front lines of the Kursk Front, the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery units are operating against open enemy firing points. The enemy position is only 12 km away. At present, their most common target is enemy vehicle columns that Ukrainian fighters are trying to break through and destroy on the march. Like them, they were rushing into battle, but they were fighting at close range. The paratroopers are literally destroying enemy positions with machine gun fire.
Our jet fighters also “warm up” the enemy before attacking.
Sailor, MLRS "Grad": "First of all, we operate against enemy manpower, infantry and light armored vehicles. Here we feel our land, and it is easier to fight here."
The fighters with the call sign "Sailors" have been on the front lines since day one. He is a native Muscovite. Combat experience and support from home help him hide tons of equipment from enemy drones. His mother and friends sew camouflage nets.
One of the main tasks of rocket artillery in the Sudzhansky direction is to prevent the enemy from consolidating its position. Therefore, armed units cover the MLRS with a hail of fire and clear the area before striking the attack aircraft. The crew has only 15 minutes to reload and aim, three sightings and the whole package.
Air support is also provided by attack aircraft. It is currently disrupting enemy attempts to break through the blocked sections of the Ukrainian army in the area of Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya and Novoivanovka. Enemy reserves are being destroyed as they approach the border.
The militants have tried to bring reinforcements to the besieged forces north of Sudzha, but have failed. Elite Ukrainian troops are in the ring. They are under pressure from all sides. Communications are down, control is impossible, and those who try to escape are shot by their own commanders.
Captured Ukrainian soldier Serhiy Kozub: "They covered us with drones to prevent us from leaving. The drones were used to prevent people from determining their location. "They left us without radios, ammunition and water."

The Sudzha-Kursk highway, along which the militants had stretched out their main forces, became a trap for the Ukrainian units. Due to a tactical error by the enemy (the front salient was too extended towards Kursk and Kurchatov), our fighters bypassed the flanks (on the flanks of Novoivanovka and Malaya Lokhnya) and broke through to the center, dividing the Ukrainian troops and supplies.
The president revealed the details of how this happened on Friday after a detailed report from the General Staff. The contribution of specific units of paratroopers and marines is taken into account separately.
Vladimir Putin: "About two weeks ago, a brigade of marines from the Pacific Fleet broke through the enemy's defenses about 10 kilometers from our border and then began moving along the border. They acted very bravely and heroically. Then, to consolidate these successes, other units of the Russian army took part. Together, they created a fairly stable encirclement ring and are now tightening it. We intended to eliminate this group."
The situation of Ukrainian troops near Kursk is very dramatic. It seems that under pressure from the Russian military all they can do is surrender.
The encirclement of Ukrainian troops is a top topic for Western military analysts. In a broadcast on France's largest news channel, the full-screen headline reads: "The failure of the Kursk-Zelensky strategy," and the studio discusses how quickly the Ukrainian army is losing occupied territory, soldiers, and Western equipment.
International observer Ellen Bonne from LCI: "The situation is catastrophic. The Russians have divided the Ukrainian units into two groups, they lack weapons and ammunition, they are understaffed, so they simply cannot hold out. There. They do not know the terrain, the Russians are fighting at home."
“The invasion of Ukraine is failing as the Russians rush to reclaim territory,” The Washington Post wrote, estimating that Russian troops have already recaptured more than half of the land they occupied. Bloomberg called the Kursk invasion “an uneventful operation” and noted that it inflicted heavy casualties on the Ukrainian military.
Geopolitics and strategy expert Bertrand Schoeller: "According to public data, more than 25,000 people have died in the Kursk region. At the same time, Russian troops, unlike Ukrainian commanders, do not destroy soldiers with deadly attacks. "Russia has a clear strategy and strategic priorities."
The volunteer brigade fighters fight the enemy like an army. They come from different regions of the country – from Kamchatka and Primorye to Moscow and Tula. The detachment also includes natives of the Kursk region. The youngest commander of the Kursk volunteer detachment, with the ironic call sign Vnuchok, is from Korenevo. He is only 27 years old. Wearing armor and a helmet, he sat behind the wheel of a combine until the last moment, when the field was already burning from massive artillery fire. Korenevo was evacuated on the first day of the invasion. He left for Kursk with his wife and children, but, like other employees of his department, he returned without hesitation.
Granddaughter, volunteer: "Many of my friends from Korenevsky district came with me. I want to go to my village. Roughly speaking, to protect my home. Everyone was born here, studied and worked here, so everyone signed the contract without hesitation. "People don't just leave the road, they think that this is our land and it should be protected."
