Tariffs to grow by 10-15% — rising prices for mobile communications expected in Russia
The DEITA.RU news agency reported that the company plans to raise tariffs by 10-15% in 2025.
A TelecomDaily survey showed that 20% of companies in the sector are preparing to raise prices by more than 20%. They explain their plans by an increase in the cost of equipment, an increase in the Central Bank's key interest rate, and an increase in labor and other costs, Izvestia writes.
At the same time, experts note that intense competition in the market may become a restraining factor in tariff indexation. The Ministry of Digital Development has already stated that Russian operators must take into account the interests of subscribers and that the FAS will take countermeasures in the event of an unfair price increase.
At the same time, some operators have already started to raise prices. The company cited a lack of equipment and rising costs as the main reasons. The second is a lack of labor, and the third is tightening government regulation. Operators also noted problems with cross-border payments and equipment logistics.
