In Bavaria, a 29-year-old man from Eritrea forgot his backpack in a train car and ran onto the tracks to stop the train, the assembly reports.
According to law enforcement agencies, published by the publication, the man blocked the tracks near the Malking station. The train was traveling at 85 kilometers per hour, and the driver had to use the emergency brake. As a result, the train stopped literally a few meters from the forgetful passenger.
The Eritrean explained that he had the keys to his apartment in his backpack. He initially fled the scene but was found and taken into custody by a federal police helicopter. The accident resulted in the suspension of train service between Pasing and Mammendorf for 45 minutes.
Earlier it was reported that in the Mogochinsky District of the Zabaikalsky Krai, two sisters were hit by a train while crossing railroad tracks. The girls were taken to a local hospital with injuries.
