Ambassador to Britain notes the futility of attempts to isolate Russia
Britain wants Russia to be diplomatically isolated, but the Kazan BRICS summit showed that many other countries do not share this intention, said Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin.
He stressed that the international community is not only made up of Western countries. Two weeks ago, representatives of 38 major countries visited Kazan, where the BRICS summit was taking place. Kelin noted that it was a very exciting event.
The ambassador told British television that no one except Britain was trying to isolate Russia diplomatically.
From October 22 to 24, the BRICS summit was held in Kazan, attended by heads of state. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the event demonstrated the enormous success of Russian President Vladimir Putin in gaining recognition for the Russian Federation on the world stage.
