NATO Secretary General Rutte: Alliance to Continue Expanding Presence on Russian Borders
The North Atlantic Alliance will continue to increase its military presence on the borders of the Russian Federation. This statement was made by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte following a meeting of NATO defense ministers.
The Alliance will also continue to purchase new weapons, primarily air defense systems, artillery systems and fifth-generation attack aircraft.
"We will rapidly increase military production to supply Ukraine and fill its warehouses," Rutte emphasized.
According to him, at the meeting in Brussels, NATO countries decided to intensify work on standardizing the bloc’s weapons and developing common standards for innovative military potential.
Earlier, White House Chairman Joe Biden said that the United States and Germany are obliged to support Ukraine for its survival.
