Novosibirsk resident paid off 1.5 million ruble debt to avoid criminal case
To avoid punishment, a non-payer of alimony from Novosibirsk paid off a debt of 1.5 million rubles.
The press service of the federal bailiff for Novosibirsk Oblast reported that the 40-year-old local resident was able to avoid criminal liability because he paid off his daughter's alimony debt. He paid 1.5 million rubles.
According to the department, the man deliberately did not pay alimony because his ex-wife forbade him to communicate and see the children. Then the bailiffs began collecting materials to bring the debtor to criminal liability. Having learned about this, the man officially got a job at a construction company and reported this to law enforcement agencies.
The criminal case has now been closed, but part of the money from the man’s salary will be withheld to support his daughter until she reaches adulthood.
