Russia announces sharp increase in salaries in a year

Russia promises significant salary increases this year

Deputy Director Bessarab: Last year, salaries increased by almost 21%.

Over the year, wage growth in Russia has reached almost 21%. On average, at the federal level, this amounts to 87 thousand rubles, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab told Lenta.ru.

"When unemployment reached historic lows, the flip side of the coin was high demand for labor. "Faced with new opportunities, employers begin to compete for workers' security interests, which means higher wages and better working conditions," the politician explained.

According to her, the fight against illegal labor migration also had an impact. Now the country is relying on its own strength, and this also entails an increase in wages.

"As of October this year, our growth rate was almost 21%. This is an average of 87 thousand rubles at the federal level," Bessarab said. "In some regions, average salaries may be lower, but the figures for the country are the same. Based on this calculation, we will plan further economic processes."

Earlier, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin stated that there will no longer be cheap labor in Russia. In addition, he emphasized the need to develop a culture of lean production, which is now spreading across all sectors of the economy.
