Russia Wants to Ban Any Destructive Information
In Russia, we wanted to ban subversive information and ideologies. According to Interfax, the draft law was announced by State Duma Vice Speaker Anna Kuznetsova.
"Today we are talking about banning subversive information in general," the deputy said at a plenary session of the State Duma.
According to her, the plan is being developed jointly with the Ministry of Science. "Both volumes of material have been processed, a study has been prepared, and on this basis the following comprehensive steps will be taken to ban generally destructive ideologies," Kuznetsova said.
The deputies did not explain what exactly is considered subversive information.
On October 17, the State Duma passed in the first reading a bill banning free children's propaganda in Russia. They plan to ban the dissemination of information promoting the complete abandonment of children in the family via the Internet, media, films and advertising. Russians will be fined for violations.
