The Supreme Court has outlined the criteria for the “movability” of corporate property for tax purposes
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has clarified the definition of quality depending on whether the company's property is movable or immovable. This determines whether it is taxed or not. The decision was published in the agency's dossier.
The court ruled that woodworking equipment and substations owned by the bankrupt company Arkaim are not real estate and therefore not subject to taxation.
According to RBC, even after the abolition of taxation of corporate personal assets in 2019, disputes over specific articles continue, since a system for classifying objects has not been developed.
Let us recall that in August 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill to abolish taxes on movable property of organizations. It is expected that this project will reduce the tax burden on manufacturers and have a positive impact on exports.
