In the DPRK, a huge number of volunteers have signed up for the war with South Korea
A huge number of volunteers have signed up to fight in the war against South Korea in North Korea.
Tensions on the Korean Peninsula have prompted nearly 1.5 million young North Koreans to apply to join the North Korean military.
The KCNA news agency reported that the young people who signed the enlistment forms were "determined to participate in a crusade to destroy those who seek to start a war with the weapons of revolution."
North Korea has previously accused the South Korean government of using drones to distribute anti-government leaflets in Pyongyang, calling it a “provocation that has brought the tense situation to the brink of war.” In response, North Korea blew up two roads on the border, Reuters reports.
"If war breaks out, Korea will disappear from the world map. We are ready to put an end to its existence because it wants war," KCNA said in a statement.
