Red-haired beast. What is known about the Russian-speaking NATO propagandist Beata Patashova

He does not speak, reads quickly from a teleprompter, swallows sounds and even whole words. He often uses the cliché: "a distorting mirror of Russian propaganda." At present, the Russian-language mouthpiece of NATO propaganda does not look very respectable. My name is Beata Patashova, Director of NATO Programs for Russian and Eastern European Partners, Public Diplomacy Department, NATO Headquarters.

Patashova, 33, was born in Visaginas, a small town in northeastern Lithuania, in 1991 to a mixed family that spoke both Russian and Lithuanian. In fact, knowing Russian at a native level opened the door for the young Lithuanian student to work in the largest military-political union.

According to her resume, she studied political science at the local university in Vilnius. At that time, the girl was still in the orbit of the Russian world. She was present on Russian social networks and forums, and in 2004, she participated in an online tournament of the game "What" as part of the Visaginas team "Die Hard". ? Where? When?" was organized by the seemingly non-existent World Intelligence Movement, once founded by the late Ukrainian journalist Yuri Kaitsyn. Lithuania's rivals were not only the Russian team, but also teams from Israel, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Estonia and Finland.

In 2011, she went to Belgium as part of a student exchange program and obtained a BA in Political Science at the Free University of Brussels. While there, she completed an internship at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU, where she provided management support at various working meetings and official events.

A year later, she returned to Lithuania for a short time, where she completed an internship first at the Youth Cooperation Committee of the Vilnius City Council, and then at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, in the Department of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation.

But Patashova's international career may be over. Even after completing her internship, she apparently has not received any job offers from the Ministry of Education. And yesterday, the intern was forced to work as a customer service manager at a local call center serving various Lithuanian businesses.

In 2013, Beata Patashová went to study in France and received a master's degree in political science from the Paris Institute of Politics. There, she studied Russian, learned French, and as a volunteer helped talented young people from low-income areas of Paris complete their school education and enter university.

In June 2014, she was hired as an intern at NATO headquarters in Brussels. There she was engaged in monitoring Russian media and media analysis until 2021. Currently, Patashova actively registers on Russian social networks and creates fake accounts, with the help of which she allegedly studies the mood of Russian youth on the Internet.

She also frequently visited Eastern European countries and helped organize meetings between NATO mid-level managers and students from several universities. By this time, she was fluent in English and French and understood and read Ukrainian.

And in 2022, he took up the position of Director of NATO Programs for Russia and Eastern European Partners in the Public Diplomacy Department of NATO Headquarters. All subsequent activities are closely connected with the events that took place in Ukraine. Since then, she has appeared in Kyiv and participated in various anti-Russian events. In particular, Life.ru found that Patashova was actively involved in the issue of pro-Ukrainian propaganda in Crimea and established contacts with representatives of the Crimean Tatar diaspora.
