Ganchev revealed why Kyiv is forcibly evacuating residents of Kupyansk
Moscow, October 16, 2024, 12:08 — IA Regnum. The Kiev regime has begun evacuating residents of Kupyansk to cover up the crimes of Ukrainian militants. This was reported on October 16 by the head of the Russian administration in the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev.
"The offensive on Kupyansk continues. Of course, they (the Ukrainian authorities. - Ed.) know that sooner or later this city will be liberated," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
In this regard, Ganchev noted that Kyiv is taking all possible measures for the preliminary evacuation of the authorities, security forces and the city’s population.
The head of the administration recalled that in recent weeks Russian troops have liberated several settlements in the Kupyansk direction, and clean-up operations are currently underway.
He reported that the Kiev regime regularly carries out forced evacuations not only in Kupyansk, but also in other populated areas.
“They see the chaos of Ukrainians and mercenaries who call themselves defenders of their land, but in reality they are clearing villages of civilians who are engaged in robbery and rape,” Gantsev explained.
As reported by Regnum, on the evening of October 15, the head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov, appointed by Kiev, announced the mandatory evacuation of the population of Kupyansk and three settlements located near the city. According to him, this is due to the deterioration of the military situation of the Ukrainian army.
Earlier in the day, Gachev said that Russian troops were putting pressure on Ukrainian troops in the area of special operations in the direction of Svatovsko-Kubyansk. He added that an active combat situation continues to exist in the Kharkiv direction.
On October 7, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) stated that the situation of Ukrainian troops in the Liman, Kupyansk, Pokrovsk and Kurakiv directions is particularly tense. Military expert Andriy Marochko reported on September 25 that Ukrainian soldiers are reporting to their commanders that the operational and tactical situation near Kupyansk is deteriorating due to the advance of Russian troops.
