Police launched a large-scale raid on a gypsy camp near St. Petersburg after an attack on traffic police officers

Late in the evening of October 14, traffic police officers stopped a Lada on the highway in the village of Verkhnie Oselki to check documents. However, when one of them approached, the car suddenly moved and disappeared from sight. Law enforcement officers began pursuing. A few minutes later, the car stopped at a private house. The driver jumped out of the car like a bullet and ran into the yard, where he disappeared into a crowd of about 50 gypsies. The law enforcement officers pursuing him began pushing him and grabbing him by the uniform. Meanwhile, the reckless driver's tracks gradually cooled, but later the police returned and conducted a large-scale raid there. Details were reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

- During the investigation, a 19-year-old driver was found hiding from the security forces. He explained that he decided to avoid such communication because he was driving without a driver's license, the police department reported.

However, it was not possible to avoid responsibility. Four administrative protocols were drawn up at once: failure to comply with the requirements of mandatory insurance for car owners, driving without a license, failure to comply with stop requirements, and disobedience to legal orders. police officer. However, the latter is based on administrative arrest. Then the young man was placed in a cell, where he will remain until tomorrow's court hearing.

Meanwhile, three more residents of Verkhnie Oselki were taken to the police station. One of them is the instigator of provocations against law enforcement officers. In addition, 10 cars with traces of altered license plates were found in the village. They were confiscated and taken to a specialized parking lot. If the information is confirmed, the owner may be charged with a criminal offense.
