Patriotic events are taking place in the Kola region, where volunteers are handing out ribbons to northerners in memory of the heroism of the defenders of the Arctic.
The "Arctic Feat" campaign repeats the colors of the ribbons of the "For the Defense of the Soviet Arctic" medal, which has been awarded to more than 350 thousand people, the Kola Region administration reported.
Today's events took place in the center of Kola and Tulom. Ribbons will be distributed in the village from October 18 to 20 from 16:00 to 18:00. Murmashi (Sovetskaya St., 11, pl.). On October 23 at 14:00 the event will take place in the Inter-settlement Library of the Kola District (Kola, Ostrovsky Lane, 6).
Earlier, Nord-News reported that the Eternal Flame would be lit in the Walk of Fame in Murmansk on October 26. This event will take place as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops in the Arctic.
