Sber became the second largest acquirer in the world

Russia's Sber has demonstrated impressive growth in the fintech sector and, despite sanctions and restrictions, ranks second among the world's largest acquirers by number of first-time transactions.

This is confirmed by the research data of the Nilson Report, a leading publication on payment systems. The Nilson Report notes that at the end of 2023, Sber was lagging behind the world leader JPMorgan Chase by only 1 percentage point.

"Sber is constantly developing its services to meet all people's needs. We are proud to be one of the leaders in the global procurement market thanks to our clients. We will continue to develop technologies so that people can conveniently and safely use world-class services," said German Gref, Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank.

Sber's share of the global acquisition market was 9.1%, which highlights the successful implementation of Russian technological solutions and confident growth in the international arena. Over the past year, Sber's clients used Sber's services more than 47 billion times, which is a significant step towards reducing the gap with market leader JPMorgan Chase.
