Kyrgyzstan concerned about tightening of Russian migration legislation

He noted that each country must ensure its own security. In his opinion, this applies not only to citizens of Kyrgyzstan, since the check applies to all foreign citizens.

Imangaziyev added that the difficulties faced by migrants began after the attack on Crocus City Hall. He also reported that the issue is under the control of the republic's Foreign Ministry and has already been discussed with Russian colleagues on several occasions, including at the last summit of the Eurasian Economic Union in Yerevan.

The deputy minister also noted that Kyrgyzstan has long-standing historical ties with Russia and that immigrants from the country make a significant contribution to its economy and society. He stressed the importance of maintaining these ties and finding a balance between immigration requirements and civil rights. Tightening regulations should not be an obstacle for people trying to work and support their families.
