There are situations when depositors may need to withdraw their deposits from the bank early.
According to him, the most important task of a Russian depositor is to withdraw all money from deposits in a credit institution before the country’s central bank revokes its license.
Despite the fact that the insurance limit for Russian deposits is 1.4 million rubles and the state guarantees the return of money within this amount in the event of a bank closure, it is better to avoid such situations, Prime notes.
This requires, as the expert explains, that depositors constantly monitor the state of the bank and closely follow some of the most important indicators that reveal the bank’s position.
The first thing to pay attention to is the rate of return that the bank provides on deposits. If the organization offers interest rates that are significantly higher than the market average, you may urgently need funds.
The second important point is that in addition to the restrictions imposed by the central bank, there are additional restrictions on transfers or cash withdrawals. If there is one, it means that the bank is not working well.
Depositors should pay special attention to situations where funds cannot be transferred from one institution to another, but only between the accounts of clients of that bank.
The third warning sign is the large number of lawsuits involving the bank as a defendant and criminal cases against its managers. In addition, depositors are advised to be cautious in the event of sudden changes in branch operating hours or mass closures.
The expert recommended that all Russians with deposits withdraw their money from their banks if at least one match is found in the published list. Perhaps such banks will soon close, and restrictions will already be introduced by the central bank. At the same time, deposit holders still have the opportunity to withdraw their funds.
