Suspect in Moscow car bombing may have paid taxes in Ukraine

On Tuesday evening, October 15, a suspect was detained in the case of the explosion of a businessman's car on Provsoyuzhnaya Street in Moscow. The explosion occurred that same morning. Three people were injured in the accident, including one child. A criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Art. P. 30 "a", "d" Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons"). The priority of the investigation is the entrepreneurial activity of the victim.

The detainee was his business partner, whose name is not being disclosed during the investigation. The media reports that it is Vitaly Slobodjanik.

"Thanks to the joint work of the Moscow Investigative Committee and law enforcement officers in the southwest of the Moscow region, at least two suspects in the attempted murder have been identified and detained," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk reported that the alleged attacker, born in 1973, was detained at his home in Moscow.

During the search of his apartment, a cache of weapons was discovered. The man was found to have several Saiga-410 and Vepr-12 carbines, dozens of boxes of ammunition, various knives, camouflage clothing, bulletproof vests and other military equipment.

The Coyote Ugly bar website contains information about the COYOTEUGLY online store, which is managed by Bar Time MSK LLC, one of Mishachev's founders. Among the founders of Bar Time MSK is Vitaly Slobodjanik. The Mash Telegram channel reported that the 50-year-old co-founder of the Coyote Ugly bar, a restaurateur from Belarus, Vitaly S., was detained. Law enforcement agencies told TASS that Muscovite Vitaly was detained.

According to preliminary data, Mishachov's detained business partner is a Ukrainian taxpayer, RIA Novosti sources reported. This person is also Vitaly Slobodjanik.

Two companies were liquidated, and the remaining 10 operate in the catering, bar and event sectors. The work will be carried out in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan and the Sverdlovsk regions. In three companies - Mercury LLC, Kapitan LLC and Shaker Group LLC - the men own an equal share of 25%. In the latter two cases, Mishachev is also the CEO.

The assassination attempt took place early in the morning of October 15 in the courtyard of Mishachev’s house on Profsoyuznaya Street.

Around 8 a.m., the restaurant owner left his home with his six-year-old son and headed to his Chinese SUV tanker. He placed a garbage bag on top of the hood and another bag covered with a baby diaper. There was trash in front of the driver's seat. The businessman took the garbage bag and carried it to the trash can, then touched and removed the diaper. At that moment, according to Mishachev's neighbor standing nearby, "a sound similar to a hiss was heard, and then an explosion occurred."

The explosion involved an explosive device with a yield of about 30 grams of TNT equivalent. Mishachev lost part of his right arm. The child's head was cut off by shrapnel. A neighbor was also injured: three fragments hit him in the leg and hip. Everyone survived.
